Easy Slow Cooker BBQ Meatballs

This Easy Slow Cooker BBQ Meatballs recipe is one of those easy dinner ideas that can make something ordinary, like store-purchased meatballs, into something a little more appetising.

This Easy Slow Cooker BBQ Meatballs recipe is an easy midweek family meal that can be made just before or after picking the kids up from school (set your timing based on the time you eat dinner), serve with meat and 3 vegetables. Simply place your pre-made meatballs into the slow cooker.

You’ll have all these ingredients for the sauce in your pantry: tomato sauce, brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic salt (or you can use a clove or minced garlic), Worcestershire sauce and soy sauce.

Then serve up with mashed potato and steamed vegetables.

Sweet and Sour Meatballs – My kids love meatballs (like mini rissoles) this sweet and sour meatball recipe was enough to feed our family of 5 for 2 nights. I served with mashed potato and steamed vegetables the first night, then in bread rolls as an easy dinner the following night. View recipe here.

Lamb, Feta & Zucchini Meatballs – I must admit I always lean towards beef and chicken rather than lamb or pork for our main meals. However, I am trying to add more variety into our meals and after enjoying the lamb & sesame rissoles I’ve been searching for more great lamb recipes. I found this Lamb & Feta Meatball recipe in the new Vegie Smugglers Kitchen Collection cookbook, and I love how it hides so many extra goodies. I really loved them and loved the extra little flavour hit of the feta (yum!!) View ingredients here.

Chicken and Coconut Curry Meatballs – Through my childhood I was always served meat and 3 veg. I must admit sausages or chicken schnitzel, mash and vegetables would have to be one of my favourite weeknight meals. Sometimes however I like to fancy it up, and this Chicken & Coconut Curry Meatballs is exactly that.  View recipe here.
