Chocolate scones

These chocolate scones are extremely yummy and perfect as is, no extra spread required.

This was adapted from the Lemonade Scone recipe

Serves: 12

Ingredients
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • ¼ cup cocoa
  • ¼ cup caster sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 cup thick cream
  • 1 cup lemonade
  • 1 tbs milk

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Lightly grease a baking tray
  2. Sift into a bowl flour and cocoa.
  3. Add sugar, salt and choc chips in a large bowl
  4. Add the cream and lemonade, mix to combine
  5. Place large spoonfuls of dough closely together onto baking tray
  6. Brush the tops with the milk
  7. Bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned
