{GIVEAWAY} Westfield $200 gift card

The weather is changing along with our need to add some warmth into our wardrobe. Are you getting some of your winter woolies from the wardrobe, or perhaps pulling out the cosy bedsocks??

The Autumn Winter fashions have hit the stores.  After having kids my style sense went out the window, I really do need some help to look a little more stylish.  My local Westfield Shopping Center at Helensvale is running a series of free winter fashion workshops, hosted by stylist Talei Watene.  Talei will show how all the new trends can be worn by ‘real’ women and how to best dress for your body shape and personality.

If you are like me and need a little inspiration join one of the workshops, being held:   26th, 27th and 28th of April at 11am and 1pm.

Even if you can’t make it to the workshops, you can still give your wardrobe style injection because The Organised Housewife has teamed up with Westfield Helensvale to offer readers the chance to win a $200 Gift Card!  Perfect timing you can spoil yourself this Mothers Day!!

Style workshop bookings are essential – visit westfield.com.au/helensvale or view the Westfield Helensvale Facebook Fanpage for more info.

I have had two kids in two years (yes just 12 months and 3 weeks apart) and developed gestational diabetes with both which meant not much weight gain at all. The youngest is now almost 9 months old, and I am 10kg lighter than when I first fell pregnant in 2010. While packing for a short trip away last night, I realised that my wardrobe consists of 3 tshirts (all same style just different shades) and three pairs of pants. Now I know how my 1 year old knows when we are going in the car – it is the only time I wear these clothes! I need a new outfit desperately so that I have something besides the shorts and shirt I currently wear!

As there are many scams, particularly involving gift cards, can I suggest the word giveaway can be changed to competition or something similar. I wasn’t even going to click on the link because there are so many fake links that are shared.. Nice Comp!

Never managed to get my wardrobe up and going again after the birth of my first daughter 2 years ago and have just had bug no 2. Need a new ‘mummy’ style wardrobe rather than my old party girl one, most of it doesn’t fit anyway!

  • http://blundermum.com Blundermum

I don’t need help, I need a wardrobe-ectomy! Fashion eludes me, and people have admitted in the past that they’ve laughed at my ensemble – but only after I’ve gone out for the day wearing it.

Mummy of a 12 month old and I am 23 weeks pregnant, I was my biggest in Summer last year and will be my biggest in Winter this – So unless I get some help it is going to be a cold cold Winter of me in summer clothing – which I was 25kgs heavier the last time i wore it.. • Katherine

Post baby, my clothes either don’t fit, don’t work to feed in or look worn out now that I’ve unpacked them post pregnancy. A few new bits and pieces without thinking about the budget would be such a treat.

  • Spockmoon

I think that there is always someone more worthy than myself to win something where you have to offer up why you deserve to be the winner. I don’t have an Aussie battler story to offer as to why I am more deserving than others. I am not rich in monetary terms yet I am not poor or wanting. Yes I covet what others have, as do most. Like most ladies, I am always wanting more stylish clothes, shoes and handbags, and like most, I usually ensure my family get their needs met first, leaving me without. So yes, I would like to win a voucher, as everyone else here does, alas I do not have a deserving story that will win me that voucher. To all those ladies who do have a greater need than mine, I wish you luck!!!

  • Lise

Gosh, I wouldn’t know where to start with a voucher – all of my clothes could do with being replaced :)

  • http://maxtheunicorn.blogspot.com.au/ Di from Max The Unicorn

Well, to begin with, 90% of my wardrobe is black. I need an injection of colour and a brand new wardrobe, because I hardly ever clothes shop for myself!

  • Anna Foran

I’ve just realised at 18 months post-bub that my current style, called ‘not in my pyjamas’, is not going to cut it much longer. Please rescue me from my mummy uniform of crop pants and Tshirts!!!!

  • Stacey-Lee

I would need help because I simply have no idea. I have become one of those Mums – that dress for practicality and comfort not ‘in fashion’ or even ‘feel good’. Can’t even dig far back into the cupboard for those once worn good clothes cos they went out with the 25 kilos last year! Replacements have been few and far between and I wear the same thing ALL the time!

What a great prize. Best of luck to all that enter.

  • Karina w

I have no fashion sense that matches my cheapness! Everything I like is expensive!

  • Meghan

My style is in definite need of an update! I’ve been studying full-time for just over a year now, and during that time I haven’t had even $5 spare to spend on clothes or accessories…the clothes I have are starting to fall apart, and I’m tired of looking awful!

After losing some weight following my two children and ditching some bad habits – i have the lovely problem of having no winter clothes that fit. It would be nice to be able to spoil myself for a change :)

  • Carly

I only recently donated a top I wore to my GRADE 6 disco. I am 28 so it is about 17 years old. I suppose I should be grateful I can still fit into the same clothes as an 11 year old but I have a feeling it didn’t look quite the same almost 20 years later :)

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Kathy-Britt-LeBreton/688755591 Kathy Britt LeBreton

I desperately need some clothes that fit.

  • Kerryinoz

Maybe Maternity Hospital’s could include a pamphlet in the ‘new mum pack’ that warns that you ‘may’ be robbed of your sense of style after having children.
Giving solution suggestions like – ‘Its okay to seek the help of a stylist’ – ‘You are worth it !!’
‘If you look good, you will feel good and happy mummy = happy family :-)

I love my easy mummy summer wardrobe, but really struggle with a sense of style keeping warm.

    • kerryinoz

BTW – my suggestion above was in humour, not a real suggestion :-) LOL

  • Shezza79

I definately need a makeover. Weight gain due to medication (which is now slowing coming off due to off medication yah!) I don’t have any winter clothes other than 1 pair of jeans. With four kids, and only one of us working, budget doesn’t stretch to clothing. Some new clothes would certainly boost my confidence.
