This was a highly discussed topic on facebook during the week.  One of my quirks is that I can’t stand if the loo paper is the ‘wrong’ way.  {image}

I agree about the toilet paper!!!! Has to be the right way!!! Grubby fingers on the wall if it is the other way!!!

Annoying right, glad I’m not the only one with this ‘quirk’

I am a wrong way person. I like the paper hanging down.

So you’re telling us that if it’s the ‘right way’, the paper hangs up? ;)

Love all those ideas! Katrina, do I have to be invited by someone to join Pinterest? Not that I can probably afford the time that I will no doubt be spening on there lol :D

As much as I love all of those images, I live in the country and the dust that gets into my house is phenomenal and all I’d end up with is dusty towel and cotton tips. :(

I like to have covers on everything and cupboard doors always closed too.

First, thanks so much for featuring the photo of my baskets that hold the bathroom linens. It seems to be making the rounds on Pinterest. You can find the full post here: http://imbusyprocrastinating.blogspot.com/2011/06/design-solution-wall-baskets-for-bath.html

Second, I totally agree with you about the direction of the toilet paper. Who wants to reach around underneath? Since you’re obviously as obsessive about it as I am, I will admit that I have switched the direction once when visiting a friend’s house!

What a great way to get readers to your blog, because if it I spent sometime haveing a read!! I really like the night stand you just did up!

    • Kirrily

Wow, only once! I often swap my friends. They just don’t care which way the paper faces – shocking!
I was brainwashed from an early age that the paper must face the right way. It’s neater and looks better if there is a print. The house might be a disaster zone, but my loo paper will always face the right way!!!

I agree, it does look neater, looks wrong the other way around :)

Toilet paper the wrong way grrr I always change it. My kids think it funny to hear me go nuts about it so they change it and wait to hear me yell ‘toilet paper’ then I hear them running and laughing.

  • Frances

i love these ideas. but how do you get those baskets fixed to the wall?

  • kristy

Prob screwed into the wall studs Frances with a bit of timber in the basket for extra support :)

  • Jen

Love these ideas, and completely agree with you on the loo roll. Absolutely and utterly – even my children get upset when it’s round the wrong way :)

  • eyefrog92

please explain why you feel the paper hanging the right way has to be on the front of the roll and when it hangs on the wall side that is wrong????…. culture rules??? Hygiene rules?? am very interested to hear the answer.
