    Hi Kat,
This devilled sauce is a favourite in our house too! On BBQ night at our place, we cook up a huge 24 pack of sausages, the kids eat a few, then I dice up the remaining into 2 or 3 portions and freeze them. So easy to whip up the sauce in my thermomix and throw in the diced sausages to warm. 10 minutes and dinner is served with salad and pasta or rice! And the 24 pack gives us 3 or 4 meals! =)ReplyCancel

My kids love sausages, but I must admit I am a bit boring when it comes to being creative, love all these ideas, I know my kids will eat all of these and they have some fresh vegetables hidden inside too, my 2 year old is so fussy.ReplyCancel

Sausage pasta is a very cheap meal in our house. I am a vegetarian so I have to do two separate meals. One fort partner and daughter then one for me. Sausage pasta is my favourite to make as it is done so quickly. I cook 4 meat sausages and 2 veggie sausages then boil pasta up and add a jar of pasta sauce. When the sausages are cooked, I chop them up and put into separate bowls and add the sauce and serve with garlic bread or salad. Costs me roughly £2.00 to make that. Thanks for the sausage roll recipe! I will definitely try that as my partner and daughter love sausage rolls! XReplyCancel

Helen, these sound so good! I’m sure your family will love the sausage roll!ReplyCancel

Friday night dinners in our home typically mean something fun like Pizza, Mexican, Pasta however it’s usually no side servings of vegetables, but that doesn’tmean no veg!! On this nightI made a double batch of homemade beef sausage rolls. I’ll freeze some to have on hand for lunch boxes, I can easily pop them in […]

These were a bit fiddlier than I expected (I accidentally whizzed my veggies to mush in the Thermomix!), but once they were cooked- delicious! My kids can’t stop devouring them, and I’ve got heaps in the freezer for my next ‘I can’t be bothered’ easy night. Great recipe! :DReplyCancel

    • Amy

Also, I’ve just realised- the recipe says to add two eggs into the bowl, but your photo above has four?ReplyCancel

      • Katrina

Hi Amy, they are very yummy i agree! Yes it is 4 eggs, i just had a quick look on the recipe to double check so for any confusion.ReplyCancel

        • Jennifer

Step 5 refers to 2 eggs and then step 6 refers to whisk the eggs. Assume step 5 shouldn’t include the eggs? I love this recipe and always have some rolls frozen as a back up plan :)ReplyCancel

  • Samantha

Could I use 1kg of beef mince instead of using sausage meat?ReplyCancel

    • Katrina

Hi Samantha, Yes i can’t see why you couldn’t. Let me know how they turn out.:)ReplyCancel

  • Angela

I’ve made these twice now… Very popular with the family. The second batch had a lot of liquid while they were cooking but I rescued them by cooking them for a bit on a wire rack to dry the bottom. All good still gobbled up.ReplyCancel

    • Katrina - The Organised Housewife

They are so yummy, very popular with our family too.:)ReplyCancel

Thank you Katrina, I finally made these using 1kg mince instead of mix with sausage mix and they were so delicious! They will differently be on my favourites listReplyCancel

  • Misty

These look great! I’ve been searching for freezer friendly food for lunchboxes this year as my oldest starts school! Trying to plan ahead to keep her lunchbox interesting AND healthy. These will be great to mix things up every now and then :)
So just clarifying… Can these be cooked from frozen or do I defrost before popping them in the oven? Thanks heaps!!!ReplyCancel

    • Katrina - The Organised Housewife

Misty, i like to cook them before freezing them. Then when you are ready for them you just have to defrost.ReplyCancel

  • Rebekah

I dont always have sliced bread on hand but I do have a supply of homemade breadcrumbs I keep. What would the weight equivalent be that is needed? Thanks.ReplyCancel

  • kerrie

I just need clarification on 2 things please .

    1. How many eggs is it. 2 or 4.

    2. Are they cooked before freezing or not.

    Thank you.ReplyCancel

    • Katrina - The Organised Housewife

Hi Kerrie, It is 4 egss ( sorry i know the picture shows 2 ) and yes i cook them before freezing.:)ReplyCancel

  • What do you suggest to serve with sausage &vegetables bakeReplyCancel

    • Katrina - The Organised Housewife

Hi Kay, I usually serve it with a little mash potato on the side as it already has all the vegetables in the bake. Sweet mash potato is also very nice too.ReplyCancel

  • H.

I prefer to add potato to the bake in place of the pasta. It’s more nutritional and makes for a ‘one pot’ dinner as well, with less washing up.ReplyCancel

    • Katrina

sorry Cynthia, I forgot to add it, your right, put in when returning sausages to pan. Hope you enjoy it. I have also decreased the curry to 1/2- 1 1/2 tbs as we like spicy food, but others may not enjoy it as spicy, I usually add about 1 tbs.ReplyCancel
