On Mothers Day I had a craving for some really creamy garlic prawns, so hubby and Miss Tween spoilt me by cooking some for dinner.

It was so delicious, and I literally had to laugh out loud when hubby found a recipe and it only required on large clove or garlic, he wanted it to be full of flavour so he used a whole bulb, I had to wait to see if it was the right choice! He didn’t go wrong, it tasted perfect!

Once the prawns are peeled, this dish comes together so quickly.

This Salmon Curried Salmon Pie is absolutely delicious and would have to be up there in my Top 5 favourite dinners. It truly is a winter comfort food. It can also be made with either Tuna or Salmon, really depends what you have in your pantry at the time.

While the rice is cooking you can prepare the curry sauce, this saves a lot of time. Also the recommended amount of curry is more than my kids can handle so I use 1/2 – 3/4 a tablespoon, increasing the intensity as they get older.

I’ve been trying to add more fish into our weekly meal plans, and coming up with different and creative ways of serving it. We had a super storm here during the week, wet, cold and miserable and a stew with some crusty bread was the perfect comfort food.

I followed the directions of this recipe from taste.com.au, but my local fish shop didn’t have ling fish, so I used barramundi instead. The dish was a little bland but it has potential. I read the comments of the recipe afterwards and some people suggest to add fish stock instead of water and a bit of curry for some extra flavour. I agree it needed something and these suggestions sound spot on.

View more of my fish recipes here, my favourite would have to be the Mediterranean Tuna and Rice Pie
